From the Private, Personal Diary of Noelle Frost

Dear Diary -

This is silly, and yet, I'm copying it down here anyway. Don't really know what I was thinking, but I heard the real song ((Marc Cohn's Walking in Memphis)) as I was out for a walk today, and had a thought, and so... voila.

Walking in Par'gon

Put on my blue suede shoes
And I boarded the train
Walked out in the land of the Vahz and Tsoo
In the middle of a fight again
Hey Mr. Statesman — won't you look down over me
Yeah I got a first class ticket
But I'm as blue as a girl can be

Then I'm walking in Par'gon
Hov'ring with my feet ten feet off of Steel
Walking in Par'gon
But do I really feel the way I feel

Saw that hero Elvis
In Founder's Falls today
Followed him up to the gates of Eden
Then I watched him walk right through
Now security they did not see him
They just hovered 'round this tree
Cause there's a nasty little thing
Waiting for the King
Down in the Hive tonight

(Chorus)

They've got an otter in the lap pool
They've got Mal Bot in the lab
And Baron Rufus'll be glad to see you
When you haven't got a friend
But boy you've got a friend in the Knights

Now Kinetica rang on my comm
From a cave down in Gaiman Wood
And I stopped on by to see her
And she asked me if I would —
Do a little brawlin'
And I iced the floor all right
And she said —
"Tell me are you a superhero?"
And I said "Erin, I am tonight"

(Chorus)

Put on my blue suede shoes
And I boarded the train
Walked out in the land of the Vahz and Tsoo
In the middle of a fight again
Touched down in the land of the Vahz and Tsoo
In the middle of the pouring rain. . .

Told ya it was silly.

Later,
N.
